Inkurable Stampers...

...challenge entries!

Here are my takes for the challenges over at Inkurable Stampers' Birthday Party!

This is for Challenge #1 which is a sketch based challenge:

And this is for Challenge #2 which is a 2x4 challenge (that's 2x4 inches):

Hopefully I can make challenge number 3 tomorrow night, fingers crossed, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Ever feel...

...like you've reached critical mass when papercrafting? I feel like my balloon just popped :( I was getting so into it and now I've woken up today and can't even go into the scrap room. If I were a writer it'd be writers block, so I'm a crafter, hence I must have crafter's block. Things will probably slow down around here til I can convince my mojo to return...

Be back soon...

Into April...

...and I have 2 LOs to show you all! Feeling into a variety of stuff lately, cards, ATCs, canvases, OTP, and now back to where it all began, LOs!!

Both were inspired by Scrap Chat N Challenges challenges!

The first was a journalling challenge using song lyrics. I chose to use the chorus of "The Navy Song" by Billy Talent. Anzac Day looming and so many people I know being in the Navy, thought I'd pay homage to it all!!

And a Christmas photo from when my brother and I were children, at a Christmas party for preschool!! This challenge required me to use colours from opposite sides of the colour wheel, so red and green it was!

More to come, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Easter...

...some cards that are almost on their way. MUM and JORDY'S FAMILY: DON'T LOOK :)

I created this one using a sketch over at the Craft Mad forum. Disclaimer for all of the photos following, due to bad weather, all photos were taken inside with poor natural light, so they're a bit more vibrant in real life ;)

This one I just used my own imagination :)

Oh and this one was my own imagination too :)

For this one I used the SM monthly card challenge, it is so sweet in real life.

And this one was actually the one that started it all! It was for the 'Easter' themed challenge over at Scrap Chat N Challenges which has moved to scrapchatnchallenges.ning.com.

More to come (probably next weekend at this rate), stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

A quickie...

...last scrap for the weekend. Wasn't feeling too well this morning, so this afternoon I thought about scrapping but I've done so many cards lately, time for something different. I headed over to SM and decided I test my off-the-page ability with one of Heidi's sketches and voila! It's a CD that's been daubed and splattered and smooshed with alcohol ink in 'Stream', then stamped with Hero Arts Antique Writing stamp (one of my favourites of all), embossed with Zing metallic copper embossing powder and all little bits of ephemera added to it! First layout this year, yikes!

Hopefully more to come soon, ♥ ♥ ♥

I love weekends...

...bring on the card-making!!

I made a baby card for Stamptacular Sunday theme, 'You and Me and Baby Makes Three'. I tried out embossing acetate and it turns out alright!

And this little one is for the 2S4Y sketch, more acetate stamping and embossing, whoot!!

More to come, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Work is blah blah...

...but at least I still have my creative outlet here :) I got in and made a couple of cards for some more challenges before work sends me away for a couple of days... Might have to try to sneak some stuff with me for the down time ;)

This one I made for the Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge theme, 'Shades of Grey'. I was trying to make a boys card but yet again, those pesky little flowers crept in ;)

And this little one was made for the SSDS open themed challenge. I decided to use my little gin bottle printing block I found at the markets as a stamp and used the masking technique to add a bit more to it! I've never tried it before but I really like how it turned out :)

More to come (hopefully over the weekend), stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Part two...

...to the end of the vacation. :( But I filled my last days with crafting goodness and came up with these entries for challenges here there and everywhere!!!

This one is for the Friday Sketchers sketch. I love the little guitar my craft robo cut for me! I've never made a rock style card before, but I think I like it :)

This one was for OCC's sketch. Eeek, I decided to take my colour cue from the PP I decided to use and green and orange, well, okay :8. I think it still turned out alright!?!

This one was for the Fussy and Fancy theme, 'Movies'. I couldn't help it, as soon as I saw this challenge I looked at my DVDs and which one jumped out at me? STARDUST. I had the craft robo cut me a couple and stole a line from the movie for my sentiment. It looks a lot better in real life, I think it has too much light on it maybe...

And bringing up the rear :), is this one for Stamp Something's theme, 'Something Girly'. What's more girly than pink and teddy bears?

More to come (hopefully), stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Part one...

...of the final countdown to my holidays and I made a record 34 cards in 2 weeks!! Well, a record for me that is. Thanks to all the inspiration blogs that helped me out, hopefully I'll still be able to participate in as many challenges I can, but work is... arrggghhh!

Here's one I made for the Paperplay theme, 'Just Because'. Loving my Kaisercraft Fancy Flourishes, thanks mum :)

This one was for the ICS sketch this week. Didn't realise such plain colours could be put together and still work out pretty nice :)

This one is for the 2S4Y sketch. I used one of my own handmade inchies for a little added pizazz, pity there's a bit too much light on the card when I took the photo, oh well...

And finally in this instalment is one for Papertake Weekly's theme, 'Buttons, Bows, Brads and Bling'. There's buttons at the sides of the ribbon, bling everywhere :), brads in the centres of the tiny white flowers and a bow around the rose stems! I like it, playing with the Tattered Angels glimmermist and screens and Smooch Spritz again.

More to come very soon, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Yay...

...I got Card of the Week over at OCC! Thanks ladies... now to crack on with their latest sketch :)

The other half...

...of the motley crue! Yep, still poor lighting for these ones, but the weatherman couldn't promise me any sunshine in the near future, so...

I made this one for the Sunday Sketch and Stamp sketch. I gave myself an extra task of making a masculine card for this one, still snuck in some roses though, hehe!!!

This next one is for the SSDS theme, 'Sparkle'. I wish the sun had of lit up the sparkle on this one. I can never seem to catch a break when photographing cards with glitter, doh!

And finally this little one was made for the Friday Sketchers sketch :)

More to come, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

One half...

..of a few days of challenges. I've been trying to hold out for a day of brilliant sunshine to take photos but I've only had overcast misery... Hope they still come out alright :)

I made this one for Stamptacular Sunday's theme, 'Back In Time'. Tried to make it as vintage as I could. I need some proper clock stamps, I like the look of them so much :)

This one is my take on the Mojo Monday sketch, wish I had better lighting :(

And this little gem was created for the OCC sketch. Really loving the look of those silver outline corner stickers, so sweet!!

More to come very soon, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Four times...

...the challenges! Nothing like filling my vacation with crafting goodness! I'm loving it, pity it's going to run out soon :(

Anyhoo, here are four more cards for four more challenges:

Firstly, for the Crafty Calendar Challenge theme, Love and Friendship. I went with an anniversary card and I totally love the way it turned out!

Second up is one for Rosie-D's Challenge theme, Friendship. Brought out my little treasured 'sweetest friend' stamp by fiskars and a gorgeous kaisercraft flourish!

Lucky number three is for the Paperplay Challenge theme, For a Mother. Tried to use a colour scheme for a mother's day card that I hadn't tried yet, green turns out quite nice I think :)

And fourth and finally, a card made for the Papertake Weekly Challenge. Used my adorable Birch teddy with a heart stamp again, so cute!!

More to come, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Who would have thought...

Lemon, gold and white would work so well together? Well I didn't until I tried it...

This card was created for the ICS sketch this week. I had to flip it because I kind of stamped the background paper the wrong way around, oops, oh well it still turned out nice I think :)

OUT FOR PUBLICATION

And I had to complete the it's a boy/it's a girl pair, so I used the sketch over at 2S4Y. I condensed it a bit (actually just cut the sketch in half), not sure how I feel about it, hopefully someone out there likes it :)

More to come, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Went a little rounded..

..and diamond-esque for a couple of challenges.

This one was for Stamptacular Sunday's Going in Circles theme. Let me just start by saying, I hate circles! But I had a good go and I think it turned out okay, hmmm... Now just to make an 'it's a girl' card to go with it :)

And one for Mojo Monday's sketch. I love my music background stamp :)

More to come, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Bad photo day...

...poor cards didn't get the right light :(

This one was created for the Everything But the Kitchen Sink sketch challenge. It's my first time making a sympathy card, I haven't yet received or had to send one out, so I'm not sure if I got the tone right...

This one was created for the Fussy and Fancy Dazzle Us challenge. I'm really disappointed with the light for this one because it sparkles so well, Even the dark green flowers and the leaves. Such a pity, oh well...

More to come, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Someone stop me...

...no, really, I think I have a card-making problem :)

This first one I made for the sketch challenge over at Craft Mad:

This second one I did for the Secret Crafter's Mother's Day theme. I had so much fun using my Tim Holtz mask and glimmermist, looks wicked!

OUT FOR PUBLICATION

And finally this one was created for the Stamp Something Touch of Spring theme:

More to come for sure, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Got me some mojo...

...and completed the Mojo Monday challenge, with this card:

On a roll...

...building the collection :). It's meant I've gotten a little distracted from my other projects, oh well.

This first one is for the sketch over at 2S4U.

OUT FOR PUBLICATION

This one started as the same sketch as above but morphed a little :)

More to come, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Oh wild one...

...yes, it's another card, :)

This started from a sketch but grew to look nothing like it, so it's back to scratch for that. But I liked this one so much I decided to put it together anyway.

More to come, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

Some cards...

...for some challenges.

The first is for Inkurable Stampers. The challenge this month is 'Metallics'. I chose gold and metallic green as my colours. I stamped Hero Arts Antique Writing on Kelly Panacci paper and embossed with some random glitter gold powder I had in my drawer. I stamped Inque Boutique Majestic Flight stamps on white card and embossed with Zing metallic green powder. I mounted the paper and a random frame with ribbon on DCWV cardstock. I added mixed green and gold ephemera to the frame and tiny gems to the bird, and voila!

This next card was made for Scrapbooking Memories February sketch challenge. I was itching to make another card after the first one and I can always rely on the girls at SM to have some nice sketches picked out. I used some Kaisercraft Loire Valley stamps, some random ribbon and lace, DCWV cardstock and another random frame from my stash.

More to come, stay tuned ♥ ♥ ♥

One for my...

...lover, hehe!!!

I made this using the sketch Liz had for her Week 6 challenge for the ATC diary. Definitely think I'm going to use this either for Valentine's day or our anniversary which is coming up, maybe attach it to a card or just sticky something to the back and write straight on it, hmmm...

I'm a bit delayed on my D inchies, oops!! Hopefully I can find sometime after work this week to crack into both the D and E lots, I have my fingers crossed :)

I haven't drawn like this...

...for ages!

And yes it is a little simple, but I'm not a fancy illustrator! It was heaps of fun though, and I got to use my Christmas present Koi Waterbrush thingy and it is really cool!!! I made it for Liz's ATC weekly diary challenge with the theme of home/where do you live:
